What if you were living on borrowed time?  

Clara Gillis is awaiting a new lease on life. She was recently diagnosed with kidney failure, and doctors say a kidney transplant is critical. Sadly, she has battled more than her fair share of health issues, including a heart attack and quadruple bypass surgery.  

During such a difficult time, Clara is incredibly thankful for her husband, children, step-children and grandchildren, who are all extremely supportive. Before her health began to decline, she loved traveling and taking walks, but these days she experiences extreme fatigue that prevents her from enjoying these activities. She looks forward to resuming a normal, active lifestyle without so many medications and medical restrictions, but right now, she needs your help. 

Unfortunately, Clara’s hope for a new life comes at a very high price.

The average kidney transplant costs approximately $335,000. And that’s only the beginning. Even with insurance, which will cover the cost of the transplant, she still faces significant expenses related to the surgery. For the rest of her life, she will need follow-up care and daily anti-rejection medications, which are as critical to her survival as the transplant itself.
